Project Description
JMB Health Consultancy has recently been commissioned by a large Mental Health Trust to assess and evaluate the variation in Consultant caseloads in the context of key policy drivers for Mental Health Services including:-
- Evaluation of New ways of working (2009)
- The implementation of acute care models
- Access to services based upon needs
- Shared care proposals
- Support for ‘Caring for our future’ (2012)
Support for recommendations within the final report has led to:-
- Additional medical sessions
- A consistent approach to caseload management
- Improved pathways for service users
- Integrated approaches between Primary and Secondary care
